what is the issue?

The exclusion of Indigenous perspectives in government has been an ongoing issue ever since Federation.

Many decisions were made without first consulting Indigenous Australians, such as the destruction of heritage sites and multiple sacred trees.

our policy

Through this policy we will introduce stricter protection and monitoring of Aboriginal sacred sites.

We will also implement protocols for consultation with the First Nations people on all decisions that impact them.

In order for broader and more significant Aboriginal representation, an advisory body and regional voice groups consisting of Aboriginal people will be implemented in Federal Parliament. This will bring forth a two-way flow of communication between everyone.

how does our policy help?

Our policy will ensure that Indigenous voices will be heard, protecting Aboriginal rights and their connections with this land. This will allow for a more inclusive, fair Australian community.
